Adrian arrives in Hawaii

* Click here for the pictures of the Hawaii arrival !!

Last night (lunchtime in Oahu) Adrian and Barrabas were treated to an incredible Hawaii welcome as he stepped off his boat at the Waikiki Yacht Club for the first time in over 6 months (193 days).  He reported that he had experienced one of the worst 24 hours of the expedition in terms of weather/sea state leading up to his arrival.

Waiting to greet him were Ivan Chan Wa, Commodore of the Waikiki Yacht Club along with Michael Roth, Rear Commodore for Sail, WYC along with a veritable posse of press members.  His first kiss along with a presentation of beautiful lei's came from Bobbie Jennings also from the Waikiki Yacht Club.

Adrian was treated to what he had been dreaming about - an ice cold Guinness, before enjoying a steak lunch at the Club. He proclaimed Oahu to be "the most beautiful place I have ever seen".

Pictures of his arrival will be available to view on the web site this evening in the 'special gallery'and a full report from Adrian will be posted in the next 24 hours.
